The Night We Met

Hey stranger, Let’s meet for a single night and let’s not ask each other what our names are, let’s not ask what race and country we belong to, let’s not ask what our faith or believes are, let’s not ask what our labels are, let’s not ask how and what we identify as, let’s not ask what our pronouns are, let’s forget our pain, sufferings, past for a single night. Let’s unguard our hearts and soul for a single night. Let’s let go of our ego and pride for a single night. Let’s stop trying to please everyone and live life on our own terms for a single night. Let’s stop hiding the scars people gave us and let’s embrace them for a single night. Let’s be a plain canvas for a night and paint it with whatever colour we want to and be whoever we want to without any filters whatsoever. Let’s wander around the city at night, laugh till our stomach aches, gaze at the stars while sitting on the bonnet of the car with you between my arms. Let’s watch the city full of lights and chaos from the top of a mountain. Let’s dance in the dark while listening to our favourite song. I will read you your favourite book while sitting in front of a bonfire while you run your fingers through my hair. Let’s talk about the deepest darkest desires of our heart and soul. Let’s turn those scars people gave us into beautiful tattoos of experience on our naked skin. When there’s nothing left to talk about, let’s lay next to each other and in that moment of silence, we will let our souls do the talking. Let’s lay there completely bared to each other, Fully clothed but our souls naked! And when the dawn is near, and when the bonfire ashes starts to get scattered in the fresh morning air, I shall too disappear in thin air and get dissolved in the sky. Let’s give each other a perfect night and never see each other again.
